Can Guineu
autoria desconeguda
Large building rebuilt in 1851 following the characteristics of Eclecticism. It consists of a basement, a ground floor and a floor under the attic, with a terrace and a roof of Arabic tiles. It has an interior courtyard with palm trees and galleries of cast iron columns, and a cloister with a high and low gallery of semicircular arches. The imperial staircase and the interiors, with period furniture and accessories, are also noteworthy. Can Guineu is located in the centre of Sant Sadurní, between two important axes of the area, Carrer de l'Hospital and Carrer de Sant Antoni. It was originally a manor house. In 1703 it became the property of the Mir family, when Pau Mir bought it from the administrators of the Hospital de la Santa Creu. In 1851, after a trip made by the owners to Andalusia, the house was renovated and extended in accordance with the dominant aesthetic criteria at that time.1851

Joaquim Arimon House
Three-storey house consisting of ground floor, first floor and attic. It has a square tower plastered in white. The three-lobed arch of the door, the framing of the windows and the wrought iron work of the bars stand out of the façade. The openings on the floor are rectangular and those in the attic are small and landscaped for ventilation. The building is the result of several renovations from a 19th century manor house, the most important of which was carried out in 1911 by the architect Josep Renom. The ceiling paintings are preserved from the first house, under the modernist coffered ceilings. In 1941, the Arimón family sold the house to the Garcial Planas family. Between 1950 and 1960 several refurbishments took place, one of which was carried out by Santiago Cassulleras Forteza.1858

Madurell House
Very spacious house with a gable roof, between partitions, two floors and an attic. The stone should be highlighted as an expensive element on the façade, with three portals, a large balcony that covers the full width of the house, and three upper balconies. The façade also preserves important remains of paintings imitating coloured marbles. The interior is divided by a large staircase that starts from the central stone portal, at the height of the first floor, leaving the basements for cellars.1864

Torrents i Miret House
The building is on the corner between Muralla dels Vellets Street and Vall del Castell Square. It consists of two bodies, one on the ground floor, two floors and an air chamber under an Arabic tile roof, and another on the ground floor under the roof. The set responds to the formal characteristics of eclecticism. The Torrent i Miret House, built on the initiative of Josep Torrent i Miret, dates from the first stage of 1870, the year in which the initial body of the ground floor and two floors was built. In 1899, a project was presented to reform this part and to build the ground floor and roof, a project that is preserved in the City Council's archive. The construction of the work was directed by the architect Santiago Güell i Grau.1870

Cal Marquès
autoria desconeguda
Civil building Set of stately buildings with typically neoclassical features. Formed essentially by a body with an eight-sided polygonal plan, in the centre of which stands a large lantern tower, also octagonal in shape and which due to its dimensions is practically a dome intended for interior lighting. On each side of the drum there is an elliptical opening and is covered by an eight-sided roof. The ternary structure used in each of the complex's façades is worth noting: a semicircular arch in the middle and architraves on the sides (Venetian architecture). The use of columns with Corinthian capitals for the porches, balustrades, hydrias and antefixes that decorate both the building and the garden that surrounds it is interesting, with a marked neoclassical taste. The building is accessed by a large staircase. -
Figueres Sabater House

The building on Miser Rufet Street, attached to the first, consists of a ground floor and a floor, with an upper roof. The most remarkable element of the façade is the grand tribune with floral ornaments and the coat of arms of the three towers. This part of the work is part of the modernist aesthetic. Torres House was built in 1873, in the widening area started in 1865 around the station. In 1901, the part of Miser Rufet Street was added.1873

Red Tower
Detached single-family house (currently divided into two houses), surrounded by a garden, with a tower at the back which has a square base and an octagonal upper body. It has a complex structure, with a Greek cross plan, made up of several bodies that have roofs on two sides. The material used in is exposed brick, which gave the house its name. The Red Tower was built in 1899 following the criteria of the eclectic architecture typical of that period, although it incorporated some medieval elements. The urbanisation of the Sant Ramon Street area (the old road from Cerdanyola to Sant Cugat), which became known as the "Dalt neighbourhood", had begun around 1828 with the construction of houses in some land owned by the Serraparera farm. Subsequently, new construction processes were carried out there, especially during the 1860s and 1880s. (Dating provided by source)1879

Cal Gual
House between partitions with a ground floor and main floor. It does not have direct access from the street, as the garden keeps it separated from the public road. At the back it opens to a patio. The double curved staircase that gives access to the main floor from the garden stands out. The railing is iron, with a different design to that of the project, as is the crowning balustrade. The door, with a lintel decorated with reliefs, retains a modernist design. The ground floor, where the carriages were, has been adapted as a car park. NH This was one of the first houses to be built on Carrer Diputació, taking advantage of a project designed by Carrer Raval in 1880, which will eventually be located in this location. Having overcome the conflict of the Carline war and in a moment of economic prosperity, the town grew again, once again overcoming the walls. Carrer Diputació will be the symbol of a new prosperity that goes hand in hand with the improvements in communications that mean the opening of the road from La Llacuna to Sant Boi and better access to the train station. -

Josep Mestres House
The Josep Mestres House is a ground-floor, two-story roofed and gabled building between partitions, originating from the refurbishment of an earlier building. In the composition of the façade, the decreasing size of the openings, as the building rises, is also accompanied by a decrease in the carriageway in the manner of Renaissance palaces, which provides it with visual solidity. Neo-Gothic insinuations are constant, in the modulation of the arches of the nine upper windows, in the emphasised cornice, in the water-break mouldings above the portal, etc., as in the more typically 19th-century elements such as the terra cotta balustrade, the crowning of the façade, suitable for the sundial, or the fan-shaped strip of the semi-circular arched main door.1883
